Suffr

Suffr allows groups of people to manage computing resources in a democratic way.

NEW: Here's a non-technical executive summary

Suffr was a demonstration session(PDF) at WikiSym 2009 in Orlando, FL.

Summary

Suffr uses Wiki technology to allow groups of people to manage information technology. They can perform electronic transactions, including system administration, without relying (as much) on traditional system administrators.

Wikis allows committees to work collaboratively, compiling and revising minutes and reports. But they still rely on "staff" to perform central tasks. Suffr allows committees to perform executive actions collectively.
